One word. Soapnuts. These amazing berries are soapy. You can either add five to a bag and throw in the wash or make a soapnut tea. I use the tea and all you do is boil 5 nuts in 2 cups of water for 20 minutes, then add another cup of water and simmer for 10 more minutes. After this cools, I add to an ice cube tray and freeze. Come laundry time I just throw in two cubes and call it good. Then I don't have to fish for the bag that the soapnuts are in. I buy mine off of Amazon and my clothes have never been softer!!!
I am making an attempt to change my lifestyle into something more natural. Make my own things without the chemicals that store bought products have. This will be a blog of my adventures with making things, how I felt they turned out for me and any tips and tricks I find.
